Its basic principle is similar to that of ordinary centrifugal water pumps:
The motor drives the impeller to rotate at high speed.
The liquid inside the impeller gains energy under centrifugal force, increasing in pressure and velocity.
The slurry is ejected from the impeller and discharged through the pump casing, achieving transport.
The key difference is that slurry pumps have wider flow channels (to prevent blockage by large particles), and the flow-through components (impeller, pump casing, liner) are usually made of wear-resistant materials such as high-chrome alloy, rubber, or ceramics.
