According to different working conditions, slurry pumps are mainly of the following types:
By Structural Form
- Horizontal slurry pump: Installed on the ground, easy to maintain, with a wide range of flow and head, and the most widely used.
- Vertical slurry pump (submersible pump): The pump body is partially submerged, suitable for pit or sump operations, and does not require sealing water.
- Submersible slurry pump: The motor and pump body are integrated and fully submerged, suitable for deep-water sand pumping or dredging.
By Material
- Metal-lined pump: Uses high-chrome wear-resistant alloy, suitable for transporting highly abrasive slurries with sharp and coarse particles.
- Rubber-lined pump: Uses wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant rubber, suitable for transporting slurries with finer particles without sharp edges but with corrosive properties (rubber has good resilience and sometimes better wear resistance than metal).
