The ZS type cast iron slurry pump (with diameters ranging from 25 to 300 mm) is equipped with high-chromium wear-resistant alloy cast iron flow components, a double-shell cantilever structure, with Cv ≤ 30% / Cw ≤ 60%, and the parallel operating pressure limit is 2 MPa. It is suitable for use in mines, coal washing, river dredging, and sand and gravel transportation.

Description

The ZS type cast iron slurry pump has a single-stage, single-suction, cantilever, double-shell structure. When viewed from the inlet, it rotates counterclockwise. The discharge port can be installed at 8 positions with an interval of 45°. The flow components are made of high-chromium wear-resistant alloy cast iron (the anti-abrasion grade can be selected according to the medium). The flow channel is wide and allows a liquid volume concentration Cv ≤ 30% and a weight concentration Cw ≤ 60% for solid-liquid mixed liquids. The parallel working pressure is 2 MPa. The performance covers an outlet diameter of DN25–300mm, a flow rate of 44–2200 m³/h, a head of 16–116 m, a matching power of 5.5–800 kW, and a rotational speed of 490 / 590 / 740 / 980 / 1480 r/min. It is the main medium-sized line for mines, coal washing, metallurgy, power, river dredging, and sand and gravel transportation. It is also a supplement to the "wide flow channel for large particles" beyond the ZJ heavy type.

The function of the impeller is to transfer the mechanical energy from the generator to the liquid, thereby increasing the pressure energy and kinetic energy of the liquid.
The protective plate ensures that the pump has a long service life and high efficiency, and can meet various harsh conveying conditions.
The pump's bearings adopt a circular rolling structure, which is convenient for adjusting the gap between the impeller and the front guard plate. During maintenance, the entire unit can be disassembled.

Double-shell cantilever + wide flow channel, capable of handling large particles
The pump body shell QT500 is load-bearing and the inner liner can be replaced (high chromium alloy cast iron). The cantilevered impeller can be disassembled without disturbing the inlet and outlet pipelines. The flow channel is slightly wider than the ZJ of the same diameter, providing better passage for coarse coal, sand and gravel, and slurry containing small stones - this is the core division point of ZS and ZJ heavy-duty models: ZJ follows the standard mineral slurry main line (high concentration, medium-sized particles), while ZS follows "large particles / sand and gravel / river channel" conditions.
High chromium wear-resistant alloy cast iron flow components
The impeller, volute, and front and rear guard plates are made of independently developed anti-strong abrasion high chromium alloy cast iron (similar to A05 composition but with a cast iron matrix, with a cost one grade lower than forged A05), with hardness and toughness balanced, HRC 50+ grade, sufficient for handling coal slurry, mineral slurry, ash residue, and cement slurry. It is more resistant to coarse particles than AHR lining, cheaper than ZJ-A05, and is a medium-load and mass-produced model.
Parallel operation is allowed with a maximum pressure of 2 MPa, and long pipelines can be extended
Single pump head: 16–116 m. Parallel operation allows a working pressure of 2 MPa (approximately 200 m head), supporting multi-pump parallel to extend long-distance pipelines - river sand extraction, long-distance tailings transportation, and main power plant ash removal trunk lines can all be equipped. The bracket tube structure, bearing grease lubrication, self-aligning roller + cylindrical roller combination.
Three types of seals + multiple transmissions
Seals: H≤0.5 MPa use packing seals (carbon fiber, external flushing water pressure = pump outlet + 0.1 MPa, flow rate 1–2 m³/h); 0.4–0.8 MPa use auxiliary impeller + packing; mechanical seals can also be selected
Transmission: V-belt, elastic coupling, gear reducer, hydraulic coupling, variable frequency, thyristor speed regulation are all covered

FAQs

 

Question: How to choose between ZS and ZJ heavy-duty models? They are easy to confuse.
Answer: Determine based on particle morphology + operating conditions - for standard mineral slurry mainline, high concentration, medium-sized (iron ore/copper ore tailings) → ZJ heavy-duty A05; for particles that are larger, sandy, river sand extraction, coarse slurry, need wide flow passage through capability → ZS; for extremely large particles that conventional slurry pumps cannot handle → ZSE sand and gravel sub-line. In terms of price, ZS is one price level lower than ZJ-A05, it is a medium-load and volume-selling model.
Question: Can ZS replace the AHR rubber lining?
Answer: No. The main application area of AHR rubber lining is fine particles + weak corrosion (coal washing sludge, FGD, phosphate fertilizer), while ZS cast iron has a shorter lifespan than rubber for fine particles + weak corrosion; conversely, ZS cannot handle coarse particles/sand gravel as AHR does. The material division of the two lines is not a classification division.
Question: How is 2MPa in series calculation determined?
Answer: The allowable working pressure of 2 MPa refers to the pump body's pressure-bearing capacity, approximately 200 meters of water column for the discharge height of clear water. The actual number of series-connected pumps depends on the density of the medium - for a 60% Cw mineral slurry, the density is approximately 1.6–1.7, and the converted discharge height needs to be discounted. The model selection will be recalculated by the manufacturer based on the slurry curve.
Question: Is the "cast iron" in ZS high-chromium white iron or gray iron?
Answer: The flow components are high-chromium wear-resistant alloy cast iron (white iron matrix + carbides, similar to the composition of A05 but the casting matrix is of cast iron series, not QT500 spherical iron shell), the pump body and pump cover shells are QT500, the shaft is 45#, the shaft sleeve is 2Cr13. Do not confuse it with HT250 ordinary gray iron - ordinary gray iron cannot withstand abrasion.
