The multistage pump impeller features a closed single-suction impeller with an efficient hydraulic model design. The blade profile has been optimized through CFD, enabling it to provide stable flow and pressure output. We offer impeller sizes that are fully interchangeable with the mainstream models such as D-type, DG-type, DF-type, DY-type, CDL/CDLF vertical multi-stage, MD series horizontal multi-stage, and API610 BB4. The number of stages ranges from 2 to 20, with single-stage head ranging from 20 to 80 meters. This enables the adaptation of high-pressure conditions with a total head of up to 2400 meters.

Description

The Multistage Pump Impeller is the core rotating component of a multi-stage centrifugal pump that achieves high-pressure output through synchronous rotation of multiple rotors. Unlike a single-stage pump with a single rotor, the rotors of a multi-stage pump are arranged in series on the same shaft. The liquid is accelerated by the first-stage rotor and then enters the diffuser (a flow straightening device) for rectification before being introduced to the secondary rotor. The energy is gradually accumulated at each stage, ultimately forming high pressure at the pump outlet. The number of rotors is determined by the required pressure and flow rate - the higher the pressure requirement, the more rotor stages there will be. The typical range is 2 to 12 stages (up to 20 stages is possible), and the single-stage head is usually 20 to 80 meters. Through cascading, the total head can reach up to 2400 meters.

Closed single suction structure: The impeller consists of the front cover plate, rear cover plate, blades and hub, forming a closed flow channel. It has high efficiency (guide vanes efficiency 85–92%), and is the mainstream form of multi-stage pumps.
Hydraulic model optimization: CFD simulation is used to optimize the blade outlet angle, blade angle, and flow channel profile to ensure inter-stage matching, with efficiency reaching 70–85% (high-performance type > 90%)
First-stage special design: For D80 and above specifications, a double suction first-stage suction impeller can be selected to improve anti-surge performance (NPSHr); symmetrically arranged back-to-back impellers can automatically balance axial force, suitable for media containing particles
Precision casting: Aluminum mold/resin sand precision molding, with real-time detection of material chemical composition
Heat treatment: Depending on the material, heat treatment such as normalizing, quenching + tempering is carried out to ensure mechanical properties
