The cutting-type submersible sewage pump is a specialized variant that adds a cutting and crushing mechanism to the ordinary WQ type submersible sewage pump. The core difference lies in "cutting a slice before the pump inlet" - at the front end of the impeller (or installed coaxially), a rotating cutting disc + fixed knife holder is configured. Before the sewage enters the impeller, soft-wrapped items such as long fibers, strips, toilet paper, plastic bags, and hair are first cut into short segments or fine debris, and then enter the impeller for discharge.

Working principle
Cutting section (this is the difference from the ordinary WQ): Sewage enters through the inlet grille/bell mouth, and first passes through the shear zone formed by the rotating cutter disc (rotating with the main shaft) and the fixed cutter seat (fixed on the pump body side). There are usually 2-4 hard alloy blades on the cutter disc, and the rotational speed is synchronized with the main shaft (1450 or 2900 r/min depending on the model), and the fixed cutter seat has corresponding cutting edges, with a gap of a few millimeters at the zero point level - long fibers, strips, and plastic bags are all cut and shredded upon entering.
Impeller discharge section: The chopped slurry (short fibers + fine debris + water) enters the impeller (mostly single-channel/double-channel/rotating flow type to ensure the chopped materials can pass through without blocking), undergoes centrifugal work and then enters the volute for discharge.
Whole machine submersible operation: The motor is on top, the pump body is at the bottom, with coaxial or short coupling, the entire unit is submerged in the well/pit/pool, relying on the water body for heat dissipation, no need to pump in, not subject to suction head limitations.
Application scenario
Municipal sewage branch pipes / pump station sump: For areas with a lot of fallen leaves, debris, and fibers, this is the anti-blockage solution.
Mobile toilets / temporary camps: Small-diameter cutting pumps (DN25–50) with water collection tanks, portable and anti-blockage.
Residential / community septic tank lift: The "fibers + flocculent matter + sanitary paper" in the effluent from the septic tank is a nightmare for ordinary WQ systems. Cutting type can continuously run without getting stuck.
Villas / single-family unit sewage treatment (STP pre-stage): Small cutting pumps with water collection pits, for handling kitchen and bathroom drainage.
