How It Works

 

The pump sits submerged in the sump/pit/tank​ (common guidance: keep within rated immersion depth, e.g. ≤10 m​ for many designs) Wastewater (with rags/fibers) enters the inlet grill; the rotating cutter plate + fixed cutter ring​ shears/twists the debris into smaller sections. The non-clog / semi-open impeller​ then moves the now "easier-to-pass" mixture through the discharge elbow into your pipework (PVC/HDPE/steel, sized to the pump outlet). Two typical deployment styles Portable (mobile):hang/stand in septic tank / manhole / temporary trench → discharge via flexible hose (quick jobs, rentals, farms). Fixed coupling (permanent):installed on a dual guide rail​ in a wet well; pump slides down onto a discharge elbow coupling; retrieve by chain/hoist without entering the pit (cleaner, safer, more "municipal/commercial").
