The hydraulic screw pump is a volumetric rotary pump that adopts the axial push principle of screw meshing. It offers three series: three screws (hydraulic system/ lubricating oil), two screws (high-viscosity fuel/ asphalt), and one screw (solid sludge/food). It has strong self-priming capability and extremely small flow pulsation. It is suitable for hydraulic stations, lubrication systems, fuel transportation, crude oil pipelines, ship steering gears, food and pharmaceutical industries, and supports motor/diesel engine/hydraulic motor drive. Optional safety valves and heating jackets are available.

The hydraulic screw pump is a type of volumetric rotary pump that utilizes one or more screws to intermesh with a bushing (or pump casing), forming several sealed chambers. Through the rotation of the screws, liquid is continuously pushed axially from the suction end to the discharge end. Its core feature is extremely minimal flow pulsation (theoretically without pulsation), strong self-priming ability (up to 9 meters of vacuum height), the ability to transport high-viscosity media (up to 500,000 cSt), and smooth operation with low noise.

Pulsation-free conveying - The screw continuously meshes, and the sealed chambers are sequentially advanced, resulting in extremely low flow pulsation (theoretically zero), suitable for precision hydraulic systems and metering conveyance.
Strong self-priming capability - Dry self-priming can reach a vacuum height of 9 meters, no need for water priming, capable of suctioning gas/liquid mixed media, with excellent gas-liquid mixed conveying ability.

Three-screw pump (3SC/3SN/3SD series): One driving screw (rotor) drives two driven screws (sealing screws), with the driving screw serving as the power input and the driven screws performing the sealing function. It has a compact structure, minimal flow pulsation, and high pressure (up to 25 MPa). It is a standard configuration for hydraulic systems, lubricating oil circulation, and fuel transportation. Flow rate 0.5 - 2000 m³/h, pressure 0.5 - 25 MPa, rotational speed 750 - 3600 rpm, medium viscosity 2 - 5000 cSt (special design up to 500,000 cSt).
Double-screw pump (2W/2H series): Two screws are driven by synchronous gears and do not come into contact with each other. It can transport non-lubricating media (such as water, gasoline) and high-viscosity media (such as asphalt, syrup). Flow rate 1 - 3000 m³/h, pressure 1.0 - 4.0 MPa, medium viscosity up to 500,000 cSt, allowing a small amount of solid particles (≤ 100 μm).
Single-screw pump (eccentric screw pump, PC series): The metal screw rotates eccentrically within the rubber liner to form a continuous sealing chamber. It is suitable for high-viscosity, solid-particle-containing, and fiber-containing media (sludge, jam, drilling mud, food sauce). Flow rate 0.1 - 500 m³/h, pressure 0.6 - 4.8 MPa, medium viscosity up to 1,000,000 cSt, allowing a solid content of ≤ 60%.

Q: What are the differences between a hydraulic screw pump and a centrifugal pump?
A: A screw pump is a positive displacement pump. Its flow rate is directly proportional to the rotational speed and is independent of pressure. It has a strong self-priming ability and can handle high-viscosity media. A centrifugal pump relies on the centrifugal force of the impeller to increase pressure. It has a large flow rate but weak self-priming ability and is suitable for low-viscosity media. In simple terms: high viscosity/containing gas/require self-priming → screw pump; large flow rate/low viscosity clean water/mineral slurry → centrifugal pump.
Q: Can a three-screw pump handle water?
A: Yes, but it is not recommended. The three-screw pump is designed for lubricating media (such as oil). Water has a low viscosity (1 cSt), poor lubricity, which will cause the screws and bushings to wear out faster. Water should be transported by a double-screw pump (synchronous gear drive, screws not in contact) or a single-screw pump (rubber bushing).
Q: How is the flow rate of a hydraulic screw pump adjusted?
A: It is mainly adjusted by changing the motor speed through frequency conversion, which linearly regulates the flow rate (flow rate ∝ rotational speed). It can also be adjusted by regulating the bypass valve for backflow, but the energy consumption is higher. Three-screw pumps are not recommended to be adjusted by throttling the outlet valve (it may cause overpressure).
Q: Can a screw pump run without media?
A: Absolutely not. The screw pump relies on the medium for lubrication and cooling. Running it without media will cause dry friction between the screws and the bushings, and it will burn out within a short time. It is necessary to ensure that the pump chamber is filled with the medium before starting and install a dry running protector.
Q: What are the advantages compared to a gear pump?
A: The flow pulsation of a screw pump is much smaller than that of a gear pump (theoretically no pulsation), it has lower noise, has less shear effect on the medium (suitable for sensitive media such as emulsions, polymers), has a stronger self-priming ability, and has a longer service life (no gear meshing wear). However, the gear pump has a lower cost and is suitable for low-pressure and small-flow scenarios.
