Material Description
The material selection for single-unit mining slurry pumps needs to comprehensively consider wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and economy:
High-chromium Alloy Materials
High-chromium wear-resistant alloys such as Cr27 and Cr30, with a hardness reaching HRC58-62, offer excellent wear resistance and are suitable for conveying media containing a large amount of solid particles and abrasive properties. High-chromium alloy cast iron typically contains more than 12% chromium (Cr). Chromium improves the as-cast structure of white cast iron, forming carbides and significantly enhancing the material's wear resistance. After heat treatment, its hardness can reach HRC 58-62, making it suitable for highly abrasive applications.
Stainless Steel Materials
304, 316, 316L, etc., offer good corrosion resistance and are suitable for conveying media containing corrosive substances. Duplex stainless steels such as A49 and A33 not only possess the wear resistance of high-chromium alloys but also exhibit good corrosion resistance and strong acid resistance, making them particularly suitable for pumps used in flue gas desulfurization systems.
Wear-resistant Rubber Materials
Non-metallic wear-resistant materials such as natural and synthetic rubber are primarily suitable for conveying fine-particle slurries without sharp edges. Their wear resistance is superior to some metallic materials, and they are especially suitable for conveying slurries with particle sizes less than 10mm.
Ductile Cast Iron Materials
QT500-7, etc., offer good strength and toughness, making them suitable for conveying media containing solid particles. Pump casings can be made of ordinary cast iron, cast steel, alloys, etc., allowing users to choose according to specific applications.
