Double Suction Centrifugal Pump

The double suction centrifugal pump adopts a single-stage double-suction horizontal split-case structure and is installed horizontally - water enters from both ends of the impeller simultaneously, and the liquid converges from both sides of the impeller. The radial force is theoretically completely self-balanced, and the cavitation margin (NPSHr) is 30-50% lower than that of a single-suction pump with the same flow rate. This structure gives it an irreplaceable advantage in "large flow + medium head" operating conditions:

Description

The double suction centrifugal pump adopts a single-stage double-suction horizontal split volute structure and is installed in a horizontal manner. Water enters from both ends of the impeller simultaneously, resulting in self-balancing radial force and low cavitation margin. It operates smoothly.
The CFD fluid mechanics calculation and computer-aided design are used to optimize the hydraulic model. The highest efficiency can reach 92%, which is 5% higher than that of traditional S-type pumps. The efficiency indicators meet the energy-saving evaluation value of GB19762.
It is equipped with imported Borgmann mechanical seals, SKF bearings, and 2Cr13 shafts. The double volute pressure water chamber is cast integrally to reduce radial force, and the configuration of the through-diameter shaft + heavy-duty bearings ensures shaft rigidity.
It can be used to convey clear water or other liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to clear water; after being coated with SEBF or using 1.4460 duplex stainless steel and other corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant materials, it can convey corrosive industrial wastewater, seawater, and rainwater containing suspended solids.

Single-stage double-suction horizontal split design: The pump casing is split horizontally along the center axis of the pump into the pump body and the pump cover. The impeller is a double-suction closed structure, and the liquid enters the impeller from both sides simultaneously, with radial forces self-balancing.
Integral cast double volute water storage chamber: Reduces hydraulic radial forces, with less axial load, longer service life, and more reliable operation.
Diameter shaft + heavy-duty bearings: Diameter shaft design, heavy-duty bearing configuration, small bearing span, high shaft rigidity and strength; using nut positioning, insert-type bearing housing design, ensuring complete isolation of the conveyed medium from the shaft.
Disc-type keyway positioning bearing housing: Reduces vibration; the structure design of the bearing housing extending outward from both the pump body and the pump cover strengthens the bearing position strength, with low vibration and noise.
High configuration standard parts: Standardly equipped with imported Borgmann mechanical seals, SKF bearings, 2Cr13 shafts, ensuring excellent comprehensive operational performance and high reliability of the pump.
Sealing system: Standardly equipped with mechanical seals; no sealing water pipe components are installed when the inlet pressure is ≥ 0.03 MPa.

Flow and Head: Determine the model and speed (The KQSN series has 107 models covering 68–6276 m³/h × 9–306 m for full working conditions)
Medium Characteristics: Clear water/liquid-like → Standard cast iron configuration; Corrosive medium → SEBF coating or 1.4460 duplex stainless steel
Import Pressure: No sealing water pipe components are installed when the import pressure ≥ 0.03 MPa
Working Environment: Ambient temperature ≤ 40℃, altitude ≤ 1000m; For extreme cases, select a motor with higher output power or a special motor
Drive Mechanism Orientation: Facing the outlet, the drive mechanism is clockwise in the left and counterclockwise in the right (Standard type is clockwise without marking)
Voltage Conditions: 380V (≤ 300 kW) / 6kV / 10kV (for high power)
Customized Services: Special flanges standards (ANSI/DIN/BS 4504/ISO 7005.1), explosion-proof motors, high-pressure motors (6kV/10kV), variable frequency drives, special rotation direction, OEM nameplates, complete plant skid (pump + motor + base + valve + instrument + control system).
