The SH type (often referred to together with the S type) double-suction middle-split pump is a horizontal, single-stage, double-suction centrifugal pump with a horizontally split pump casing, designed for clean water/semi-water media. The motor directly drives the pump shaft through an elastic coupling or a lengthened coupling; water enters the double-suction impeller from both sides, flowing axially symmetrically through the blade channels, then is discharged into the volute-shaped flow channel for pressure increase, and finally exits from the horizontally arranged outlet.

The diesel engine drives the double suction pump, which is used in remote areas or in situations where power supply is unavailable. It is suitable for the irrigation industry, aquaculture, etc., solving the pump usage problem in areas without power supply.
Used with motors
The motor drives the double suction pump, with relatively smaller limitations. It is suitable for fields irrigation, aquaculture water supply, pumping station drainage water supply, sewage treatment and other fields, and can meet the pump usage needs in most cases.

Structural features

Double-suction impeller
Equivalent to two single-suction impellers working simultaneously, under the same outer diameter of the impeller, the flow rate can be doubled and the efficiency is higher.
High-precision rotor
A more stable and powerful high-precision rotor with superior materials, which is safer and more firmly constructed overall.
Symmetrical structure for more stable operation
The pump casing is horizontally split in the middle, the inlet and outlet are in the same direction and perpendicular to the pump shaft, which is conducive to the layout and installation of the inlet and outlet pipes of the pump. The impeller structure is symmetrical, the axial force of the impeller is balanced by the symmetrical arrangement of its blades, and the operation is stable.

Customizable materials
The double suction pump is typically made of cast iron. However, different materials can be customized according to the actual working conditions to handle various media such as clean water, seawater, and chemical liquids. For specific materials, please consult the customer service and have them tailor-made according to your actual needs.

Urban water supply / water plant: Pumping station for water lifting, water transportation, pressure boosting of main pipeline network (large flow rate, continuous operation)
Agricultural irrigation / drainage pumping station: Water lifting for large irrigation areas, drainage, and replenishment of canal system (the working conditions prioritizing flow rate are highly suitable)
Power plant / power station circulating water: Cooling circulating water pumps, circulating water supply of condenser (pumps of size 48SH-22 and above will also be written as being suitable for use as circulating pumps in thermal power plants)
