Vertical Mud Pump

Vertical mud  pump is a single-stage, single-suction, cantilever and vertical centrifugal slurry pump. The motor of the submerged slurry pump is placed above the liquid level, and the impeller is driven by a long shaft. The sealing method can be selected as packing seal or mechanical seal. The immersion depth is less than 5 meters (limited by the rigidity of the long shaft, the liquid length can be customized according to user requirements).

The CPV Submerged Slurry Pump is constructed with critical flow components, including the pump body and impeller, manufactured from premium wear-resistant white high-chromium cast iron. This material delivers exceptional resistance to abrasion, corrosion, and erosion for extended service life. Optionally, key parts can be lined with specialized rubber to meet specific custom requirements, offering superior corrosion protection in demanding applications.

The pump features a uniquely designed suction pipe that can be installed at the lower intake port. This configuration enables efficient pumping of high-concentration slurry from sumps or tunnels located directly beneath the unit.

Engineered for robust performance, this pump reliably operates under intermittent duty cycles and adapts to a broad spectrum of working conditions with consistent efficiency.

Maintenance and calibration are straightforward: the impeller's axial position can be easily and precisely adjusted by modifying the shim pack thickness between the bearing housing and the support bracket, ensuring optimal clearances and performance.

It features a long-axis immersion design and allows for the use of heavy-duty, high-chromium wear-resistant alloy components. This enables it to reliably transport highly abrasive media containing extremely hard particles, such as iron ore/gold ore tailings that contain quartz sand, corundum, and other hard particles.

2. The installation height of the long axis can be adjusted to accommodate significant fluctuations in liquid levels or situations where the immersion depth needs to be adjusted. This makes it ideal for applications like mine drainage (where water levels change with mining activities) and regular sludge removal from sedimentation tanks (where liquid levels periodically drop).

3. With the motor located above the liquid surface, direct contact with hot or corrosive liquids is avoided. This makes it suitable for transporting hot or corrosive slurries, such as desulfurization gypsum slurry from power plants (with temperatures ranging from 60°C to 80°C).
