The SP type adopts a high-chromium wear-resistant alloy metal approach, bracing against the impact of large particles and sharp edges of the ore; while the SPR type completely covers all the flow surfaces submerged in the liquid with corrosion-resistant rubber (natural rubber/synthetic rubber/polyurethane), specifically addressing those working conditions that are both corrosive and abrasive, with roundish particles but thick slurry - such as phosphoric acid slurry, acidic slurry, flotation tailings, chemical treatment slurry, etc. The two structural frameworks are the same, the difference lies in whether the "wet surface is protected by a metal armor or a rubber soft armor".

Products features
Double suction semi-open impeller
The impeller adopts a semi-open design with top and bottom dual suction, and the axial forces cancel each other out to some extent, reducing the load on the bearings; at the same time, the flow passage is wide, allowing larger solid particles to pass through directly without easily getting stuck. (Industry public data shows that for each size of SPR, the single particle size that can be handled is roughly within the range of 12–65mm, and the upper limit increases with the increase of the size.)
Full rubber-lined wet surface - rubber soft armor concept
The parts submerged in the liquid - the inner wall of the pump, the outer contour of the impeller, the working surface of the guard plate, even the surface of the shaft and the connecting bolts - are all covered or lined with a rubber protective layer (commonly natural rubber or selected chloroprene/butyl/acrylate EPDM based on the working conditions), and the bolt heads also have rubber protective sleeves to prevent crevice corrosion. The elasticity of the rubber can also absorb some particle impacts, "soft hitting hard" is actually better than pure metal in some slurries and can last longer.
Adjustable impeller clearance
The axial clearance between the impeller and the guard plate (or the rear wall of the pump body) can be adjusted by the spacer/adjusting pad under the bearing seat - if the clearance is too large, there will be internal backflow and efficiency loss; if it is too tight, it will rub. On-site adjustments can be made as needed, which is a key means to extend the service life of the efficient operating range.
Tubular bearing assembly, grease lubrication
The bearing body adopts a tubular structure. At the pump end, double-row tapered roller bearings are commonly used to bear the axial force, and at the driving end, cylindrical roller bearings are used. The entire assembly is lubricated with grease and has a labyrinth dustproof structure. The maintenance schedule is simple (regular grease replenishment, regular clearance inspection), and a complex grease station is not required.
Usage scenario
Mining and Mineral Processing
Discharge of bottom flow from tailings ponds, transfer of bottom flow from concentrators, discharge of waste from the grinding circuit, drainage from underground tunnels and collection pits - especially the overflow/bottom flow sections of the flotation system, where the medium often contains corrosive agents, the cost-effectiveness of SPR rubber lining becomes evident.
Coal and Coal Washing
Discharge of wastewater from coal sludge ponds, auxiliary discharge of the heavy medium suspension system (the abrasive wear of rubber on rubberized materials is usually better than that on metal, and the long-term cost is usually lower) in the magnetic iron ore suspension system.
Metallurgy and Chemicals
Alumina red mud slurry, phosphorus chemical mineral slurry, acid-containing mineral slurry in non-ferrous metallurgy - the "corrosiveness" of these processes is often the decisive reason for choosing SPR rather than pure metal SPR.
Environmental Protection and Building Materials
Discharge of bottom flow from sewage treatment sludge ponds, discharge of sludge from sedimentation ponds, slurry from cement kilns and ash water of ceramic glaze production - high concentration, fine particles, sometimes alkaline, the elasticity and chemical resistance of rubber are more in line.
Sand and Stone and Sand Mining and Dredging
Discharge of fine sand slurry from the bottom of sedimentation ponds (note: if a large amount of coarse gravel and shell fragments enter, the rubber's tear resistance should be evaluated, and if necessary, metal SPR or a pre-filter grille should be added).
