The mining heavy-duty slurry pump belongs to the heavy-duty section of the ZJ series horizontal single-stage single-suction centrifugal slurry pump (150ZJ / 200ZJ / 250ZJ / 300ZJ / 350ZJ), specially designed for heavy-duty solid-liquid transportation in mines, coal washing, metallurgy, power, etc. The flow components are made of high-chromium wear-resistant alloy KmTBCr26 (A05), allowing a slurry weight concentration of ≤ 60%, slurry ≤ 45%, and medium temperature ≤ 80℃. The heavy-duty bracket + thickened sleeve design, with a single pump's head ranging from 13 to 133 meters, and the large flow section (300ZJ / 350ZJ) can be operated in series to meet the requirements of high head and long-distance pipeline. The shaft seal can be selected as a secondary impeller + packing combination or mechanical seal, and the outlet can be installed at 45° intervals and rotated by 8 angles.

Heavy-duty structure, for models 150ZJ and above, adopts heavy-duty brackets, thickened casing covers and front and rear guard plates. The number of impeller blades is reduced to 2–8, and the flow channel is widened to reduce solid blockage and wear. Compared to the light-duty section (below 80ZJ), the shaft diameter, bearing housing, and base of the heavy-duty section are all increased by one level. The continuous operation life is significantly extended, suitable for 24-hour continuous slurry supply in mining plants.
High-chromium A05, capable of withstanding erosion in operating conditions. The flow components (impeller / casing / front and rear guard plates) are standardly equipped with KmTBCr26 (A05), with a hardness of HRC ≥ 58, and carbides are distributed in a network form to resist erosion. If the medium is corrosive (such as acidic mineral slurries, phosphate slurries), A49 / A33 / 316L can be upgraded; if it is purely erosive (tailings, iron concentrates), A05 is sufficient. The pump body / pump cover / bracket is made of HT200, and in parallel operation, it is replaced with ductile iron; the shaft is 45#, and the shaft sleeve is 2Cr13.
Supports parallel operation, and can be extended for high head and long-distance applications.
The single pump's maximum head is approximately 130 meters. If the head exceeds this, it can achieve a head of 200–250 meters through parallel operation of the same model, suitable for long-distance tailings pipelines and mountainous mining transportation. In parallel operation, the bracket is upgraded to ductile iron, and the base is reinforced.
Three types of seals + four types of transmissions, with high on-site adaptability.
Seals: packing seal / reduced-pressure cover auxiliary impeller + packing / mechanical seal, selected based on the imported pressure and whether leakage is allowed.
Transmission: direct connection DC / narrow V-belt CR, CL, CV, ZV, with a rotational speed of 490–1480 rpm available in multiple gears, compatible with frequency conversion.

Question: How to choose between mining heavy slurry pumps and ZJL vertical pumps?
Answer: For liquid levels below the pit, sedimentation tank, and collection pit → choose ZJL vertical pumps (without shaft seal, no need for foundation); for main lines in mineral processing, tailings reservoirs for long-distance transportation, and coal washing heavy media → this ZJ horizontal heavy-duty section (can be connected in series, high head, large flow rate).
Question: How to choose between A05 and A49?
Answer: For pure abrasion (tailings, iron concentrate, coal slurry) → A05 is sufficient; for corrosion + abrasion combined (desulfurization slurry, phosphogypsum, acidic slurry) → choose A49 (Cr30 type, acid-resistant + wear-resistant).
Question: Can it be used when the slurry concentration is above 60%?
Answer: 60% is the nominal upper limit of the ZJ series (slurry weight concentration). If it's higher, it is recommended to conduct a small-scale test or modify the bottom flow scheme of the thickener first. Otherwise, the service life of the impeller will be significantly shortened.
Question: Can they be connected in series? What is the maximum head they can reach?
Answer: Yes. 300ZJ / 350ZJ can be connected in series. Two units can reach 200+ meters in height, and three units can reach even higher, depending on the pipeline resistance curve. When connected in series, the bracket is changed to ductile iron and the base is reinforced.
