The horizontal slurry pump (Horizontal Slurry Pump) is a horizontal, single-stage, single-suction, cantilevered centrifugal slurry pump. The pump shaft is placed horizontally, and the motor drives the pump shaft and the impeller to rotate through a coupling or belt, discharging the slurry containing solid particles along the centrifugal force direction.
It is the most common type in the slurry pump family, featuring convenient installation and maintenance, wide application range, and a complete range of models. However, it requires a certain amount of floor space.
The horizontal slurry pump adopts a vertical axial split double pump shell structure: the outer metal pump shell (HT200/QT500-7 cast iron or ductile iron) withstands pressure, and the inner layer is a replaceable wear-resistant metal liner (high chromium alloy Cr26/Cr27/Cr28) or rubber liner (natural/synthetic rubber), which can be replaced separately after wear, significantly reducing maintenance costs.
The impeller is of a cantilevered structure, made of high chromium alloy or rubber material, with excellent anti-corrosion and anti-suction erosion performance; the impeller blades are usually 3–6 twisted blades, with 8 back blades, and a wide flow channel design to prevent blockage. Due to this type of pump having thick wear-resistant components and a heavy-duty bracket, the horizontal slurry pump is suitable for transporting strong abrasive, high-concentration slurry or low-concentration high-head slurry. Within the maximum allowable working pressure range of the pump, it can be used in multiple stages in series.

Vertical split double pump casing: The pump casing is vertically split and has a double-layer structure - the outer layer is a metal pump casing that withstands pressure, and the inner layer is a replaceable wear-resistant liner (high chromium alloy or rubber). After wear, only the liner needs to be replaced, without requiring the pump body to be scrapped. The outlet can be rotated at 45° intervals to install at 8 different angles, suitable for complex pipeline layouts.
Suspended impeller: Single-stage single-suction, suspended structure. The impeller is made of high chromium alloy or rubber. 3-6 twisted blades + 8 back blades. The wide flow channel design is resistant to blockage.
Heavy-duty bearing bracket: Large-capacity bearing design. The bearing specifications are larger and more sturdy than those of the same-sized clear water pumps, to withstand the unbalanced force of slurry transportation; the lubrication method can be selected as thin oil lubrication or grease lubrication; pumps of ZJ and above types have a water cooling device, improving the working conditions of the bearings.
Transmission method: Coupling direct connection, V-shaped belt, hydraulic coupling, variable frequency drive.
Can be connected in series: Within the maximum allowable working pressure of the pump, it can be used in 2-4 stages in series to meet the requirements of long-distance and high-head pipeline transportation.

A: The ZJ series (mid-open double pump casing, oil-free lubrication) is suitable for corrosive or abrasive slurries containing solid particles and supports multi-stage series connection, making it suitable for long-distance transportation and commonly used in industries such as coal washing; the AH series (double metal pump casing, grease lubrication) is suitable for high-concentration abrasive slurries (such as a mineral slurry concentration of 60% and a temperature of ≤ 60°C), and is commonly found in scenarios such as mining beneficiation and coal-fired power plant ash removal.
