The Centrifugal Mining Pump is a horizontal, single-stage, single-suction, centrifugal mining slurry pump. It adopts an internal and external double pump casing structure - the outer layer is made of ductile iron/cast steel pump casing which bears the pressure, and the inner layer is a replaceable high-chromium wear-resistant alloy (Cr27/Cr30, A05/A07) or rubber lining. After wear, it can be replaced separately, significantly reducing maintenance costs. The pump casing is vertically split in the middle, and the outlet can be installed at eight different angles at 45° intervals.

Centrifugal Mining Pump is the most widely used horizontal, single-stage, single-suction, centrifugal mining slurry pump in the mining industry. The pump shaft is placed horizontally, and the motor drives the pump shaft and the impeller to rotate through a coupling or belt, discharging the abrasive mine slurry containing solid particles along the centrifugal force direction. Its core structure consists of an inner and outer double pump shell: the outer metal pump shell (HT250/QT500-7 ductile iron or cast steel) withstands pressure, and the inner layer is a replaceable high-chromium wear-resistant alloy liner (Cr27, hardness ≥ 62 HRC) or rubber liner. The liner can be used until it wears through, extending the maintenance period and reducing operating costs - this is the fundamental reason why Centrifugal Mining Pump can operate stably for a long time in the "liquid sandpaper" working condition in the mining industry.

 

Product structure features

 

After disassembling the Centrifugal Mining Pump, the Cr27 high-chrome alloy impeller and replaceable metal liner can be seen. The double pump housing structure is clearly visible.

Double pump housings: The outer metal pump housing (HT250/QT500-7 ductile iron or cast steel) is pressure-bearing, while the inner layer is a replaceable high-chromium wear-resistant alloy liner (Cr27, A05) or rubber liner. After wear, only the liner needs to be replaced, without requiring the pump body to be scrapped. The maintenance cycle is extended and the operating cost is reduced.
Vertical mid-open eight-angle outlet: The pump housing is vertically split, and the outlet can be rotated at eight different positions at 45° intervals for installation, making on-site piping flexible.
Impeller structure: The impeller is composed of a front cover plate, a rear cover plate, 3-5 twisted blades, and back blades. The material is high-chromium alloy cast iron or rubber, and it is connected by thread to the shaft; the wide flow channel design is resistant to blockage and can handle large particle solids.
Heavy-duty bearing bracket: Cylindrical or horizontally split mid-open heavy-duty bearing assembly, facilitating adjustment of the gap between the impeller and the front guard plate during maintenance; the bearings are lubricated with thin oil or grease; pumps of ZJ and above types are equipped with water cooling devices.

Q: How to choose between the ZJ series and the AH series?
A: The ZJ series (flow rate 4.5 - 2339 m³/h, head 6 - 133 m) is a mainstream general-purpose horizontal slurry pump in China, with double pump shells and high-chromium Cr26/A05 lining; the AH series (flow rate 3 - 3000 m³/h, head 5 - 70 m, high head type up to 118 m) is a Warman mine-use horizontal centrifugal pump, with double pump shells and Cr27 or rubber lining, with the maximum medium concentration of 60 - 70%. The two series correspond in size range, and the AH series is 100% compatible with Warman installation dimensions, and can be used as an original factory upgrade replacement; the ZJ series has a higher cost performance and is the mainstream for domestic projects.
Q: What are the benefits of the double pump shell structure?
A: The outer pump shell (cast iron/cast steel) withstands pressure, and the inner high-chromium wear-resistant lining resists wear. When the inner lining wears out, only the wear-resistant components (impeller, guard sleeve, guard plate) need to be replaced, and the outer shell can be used for a long time (with the same lifespan as the pump), significantly reducing maintenance costs. This is the standard structure of heavy-duty slurry pumps.
Q: How long is the service life of the flow components?
A: High-chromium alloy (HRC58+) flow components have a lifespan three times that of ordinary cast iron under normal wear conditions; in iron ore slurry conditions, it is approximately 4000 - 8000 hours, and in tailings slurry, 6000 - 12000 hours. Using Cr30 or dual-metal composite can extend by 30 - 50%.
Q: Can it be connected in series?
A: Yes. The ZJ series can be connected in series, the AH series supports 2 - 4 series connections, and the HH high head series can also be connected. The MD mine-use multi-stage centrifugal pump achieves high head (up to 1810 m) by adding the number of impeller stages. The series connection scheme requires checking the shaft system strength and shaft seal capacity, and it is recommended to be confirmed by the manufacturer's technical support.
