The bearing sleeve of the slurry pump is a core and easily worn component of the rotor system of the slurry pump. It is usually combined with the bearing assembly, the sleeve nut, the sealing cover, the oil seal, etc., to form the "bearing frame assembly". Among them, the "bearing" bears the radial and axial loads of the rotor, and the "sleeve" is placed outside the pump shaft, between the packing seal (or the static ring of the mechanical seal) and the shaft, playing three roles of protecting the pump shaft, positioning the seal, and transmitting torque - after the sleeve wears out, only the sleeve needs to be replaced, without the need to replace the entire shaft. It is the most crucial consumable item in the "full life cycle cost control" of the slurry pump.
Products features
The material is configured in layers, allowing for selection as needed without waste: for standard working conditions (clear water + mild wear), use 45# quenched sleeve bearings + self-aligning roller bearings; for sand-containing wear conditions, use Cr27 cladding sleeves; for corrosion + wear (such as phosphoric acid slurry, seawater sand extraction) use 316 sleeves or rubber-coated sleeves; for sliding bearing models (large machinery) use ZCuSn10Pb1 tin bronze for the bearing shells. The bearings themselves: the three major factories (HRB/ZWZ/LYC) in China have sufficient domestic products, and export models can be replaced with SKF/FAG.
Complete supply, ready to install immediately: the bearing frame assembly can be purchased separately as individual parts (sleeves, bearings, oil seals, pressure covers), or a pre-assembled bearing frame component can be purchased (bearings + bearing bodies + sleeves + seals + oil seals are all assembled and adjusted in the factory, with the table aligned), and on-site just insert the pump shaft, lock the nut, and connect the oil pipe, eliminating the need for special tools and technicians for pressing the bearings on-site, reducing the maintenance downtime from 4 hours to 1 hour.
Customizable modifications are available, suitable for retrofitting old pumps: many in-service ZJ pumps with a service life of over 10 years, the shaft diameter has worn from Ø65 to Ø63, and the standard shaft sleeves are unstable - customizable "increased inner hole sleeves" or "inserted sleeve repair of shafts" can be provided, which is much more cost-effective than replacing the entire shaft/pump. It is also possible to reverse-engineer the bearing frame number based on the original pump drawings, even if the original factory has ceased production, and a replica can be made.

Installation and Replacement Precautions
Although the bearing sleeve of the slurry pump is a small component, improper installation can lead to chain damage of the bearings, wear of the shaft, and leakage of the slurry. Here are several fundamental rules:
Before installing the new bearing sleeve, it is necessary to measure: the gap between the inner diameter of the bearing sleeve and the outer diameter of the pump shaft should be 0.03 to 0.08 mm (either interference fit or transition fit), and the gap between the end face of the bearing sleeve and the back of the impeller should be according to the drawing (generally 0.5 to 1.0 mm). Before installation, check it with an outside micrometer and an internal gauge. Do not rely on your sense.
When heating for assembly of the bearing, do not exceed the temperature limit: Before installing the bearing on the shaft neck, heat it to 110 to 120 ℃ in an oil bath for hot mounting. Do not use open flames for heating; heating above 130 ℃ will cause the tempering to fail. After installation, let it cool naturally and do not use water to cool it quickly.
For the sealing side, install the bearing sleeve first and then the seal: If the sequence is wrong, it will be difficult to disassemble and reinstall - first install the bearing sleeve in place and lock the bearing sleeve nut (ensure the anti-loosening washer is prepared), then install the packing/ mechanical seal. Otherwise, if the depth of the sealing cavity is incorrect, there will be leakage.
For the lubricating oil type, the first oiling should be filtered: For the new bearing body, use 32# or 46# mechanical oil (according to the manual), and filter it with a 120-mesh filter before oiling. The oil level should reach the middle line of the oil gauge; for the first oil change after 250 hours of operation, change the oil every 2000 to 4000 hours.
The standard for judging the scrapping of the bearing sleeve: If the wear of the outer diameter of the bearing sleeve is ≥ 5% of the original diameter or there are through grooves on the surface, it must be replaced; if it is only slightly worn on one side, it can be ground once with a lathe (leave a margin) and used for one more cycle, but after grinding twice, it will reach the scrap line.
