The working process of the mobile cone crusher station is based on the layered crushing principle of the cone crusher, which is fundamentally different from the impact crushing of the impact crusher.
After the materials enter the crushing chamber through the feed opening, they are distributed to the annular crushing chamber between the fixed cone liner and the moving cone liner. The moving cone moves in a rotary swing motion driven by the eccentric sleeve, applying continuous compression, bending and shearing forces to the materials, causing them to break along the natural cleavage planes within the material layer instead of relying on high-speed impact. This "interlayer compression" method is called layered crushing, and its advantages lie in: high crushing efficiency, low needle and flake content, uniform wear of the liners and long service life.
In a complete mobile station configuration, there are two common working modes:
Open circuit mode: The materials are crushed once by the cone crusher and then directly discharged by the discharge belt conveyor, suitable for situations where the requirements for the final particle size are not strict or there is an independent screening stage later.
Closed circuit mode (with screening and return material): An integrated vibrating screen is integrated on the mobile station. The crushed materials first enter the screening process, and the qualified particle sizes are output by the finished product belt conveyor, while the oversized particles are sent back to the cone crusher feed opening for re-crushing, forming a cycle. The closed circuit mode can stably produce finished products within a specific particle size range, and is a more common configuration in sand and gravel production.
The power of the entire station is mainly external city electricity, and an optional on-board diesel generator set can be selected for use in areas without an electricity grid. The control system usually adopts centralized PLC control, with functions such as start-stop interlock, overload protection, and material jam alarm, and some models support wireless remote operation.

Recycling of construction waste: In old city renovations, demolition sites, and road renovations, concrete blocks and brick fragments are crushed and sieved locally into recycled aggregates, which are directly used for base layers, asphalt stabilization, or as raw materials for brick production, thereby reducing the amount of transportation and landfill and the cost of purchasing new aggregates.
Temporary coarse crushing in open-pit mines/stone quarries: Move the coarse crushing station to the working face of the inclined platform, "crushing as it is blasted", significantly shortening the distance of truck transportation of raw materials and reducing fuel, tire, and road maintenance costs.
Road/railway/electric power linear projects: Along the project route, temporary sand and gravel aggregates or road fill materials are needed. The tire station moves segmentally with the construction progress to achieve "local supply".
Emergency and rescue: During the emergency restoration stage of collapsed bodies, debris flows, or post-earthquake ruins, mobile crushing can be used to quickly process breakable materials, providing materials or operational areas for channel restoration.
Leasing and subcontracting market: Due to flexible relocation, quick start-up, and no need for civil construction, tire stations are naturally suitable for leasing and circulation according to project cycles.
