Material Specifications
The material selection for the plunger pump needs to be determined based on factors such as the chemical and physical properties of the pumped medium and the operating pressure:
- Weave Components Material: Suction chamber, discharge chamber, sealing box, and other flow components can be made of cast iron, cast steel, or stainless steel. Cast iron is suitable for general industrial applications, stainless steel (304, 316, 316L) is suitable for corrosive media, and cast steel is suitable for high-pressure conditions.
- Pump Shaft Material: 45 carbon steel, 40Cr alloy structural steel, or stainless acid-resistant steel are selected, and after quenching and tempering, they have high strength and wear resistance.
- Rotor Material: 40Cr, 45 steel, 38CrMoAl, 1Cr18Ni9Ti, 1Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti, etc., are available. The rotor surface is typically nitrided or hard chrome plated to improve wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
- Stator Bushing Material: Different rubber materials are selected based on the characteristics of the medium, including natural rubber (NR), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), nitrile rubber (NBR), polyurethane rubber (UR), ethylene propylene rubber (EPM), fluororubber (FPM), and chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber (CSM). Different rubber materials have different temperature resistance, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, requiring selection based on specific operating conditions.
