Description

The sand dredging pump is a centrifugal pump specifically designed for extracting and transporting loose sediments such as sand, silt, and slurry at the bottom of rivers, lakes, ports, and other water bodies. It combines the large particle handling capacity of an excavating pump with the wear-resistant characteristics of a slurry pump. At medium head (10–60 m), it achieves an ultra-large flow rate (100–12,000 m³/h), capable of efficiently processing dredging media with high sand content and wide particle size distribution. Compared to ordinary slurry pumps, the flow path of the sand dredging pump is wider and the number of blades is fewer (usually 3–5), to prevent sand and stones from blocking; compared to high-head excavating pumps, it focuses more on flow rate and through-ability, with a moderate head, and is more suitable for shallow water areas and short-distance transportation. The flow components are made of high-chromium alloy (Cr26/Cr28) or wear-resistant alloy steel, with a hardness of ≥58 HRC, capable of withstanding intense scouring by sharp particles such as quartz sand and gravel. The pump body structure has two types: single pump housing (lightweight, 360° outlet adjustable) and double pump housings (replaceable wear plates), suitable for different marine and shore-based requirements.

Core advantage

 

Wide-flow impeller: Semi-open or closed impeller, with 3 to 5 blades. The flow channel width is 30-50% larger than that of ordinary slurry pumps. It can handle the maximum solid particle diameter of 80-240 mm (depending on the model) and has excellent anti-blocking performance.
High-chromium alloy flow components: The impeller, pump body, and front and rear guard plates are all made of KmTBCr26/Cr28 high-chromium white cast iron. The hardness is HRC 58-63, and the wear resistance life is 8-10 times that of ordinary cast iron.
Single pump housing / double pump housing options:
Single pump housing: Belt connection, lightweight structure, adjustable outlet direction within 360°, suitable for compact ship space scenarios.
Double pump housing: Outer pressure-bearing pump housing + inner replaceable liner. After wear, only the liner needs to be replaced, resulting in low maintenance costs.
Heavy-duty bearing assembly: Double-row conical roller bearings + thrust bearings, lubricated with thin oil, capable of withstanding large radial and axial impact loads.
Stirring impeller (optional): A stirring impeller can be added at the bottom of the pump to stir the deposited sand into turbulent flow, improving the extraction concentration.

Depending on the model, the maximum size that can be passed is 60mm, and the maximum processing concentration is up to 70% (by weight). Larger channels can be customized.
